SURAH AL-FATIHAH
Sūrat al-Fātiḥah (Arabic: سُّورَةُ الْفَاتِحَة) is the first chapter (surah) of the Quran. Its seven verses (ayat) are a prayer for the guidance, lordship and mercy of God. This chapter has an essential role in Islamic prayer (salāt). The primary literal meaning of the expression "al-Fātiḥah" is "The Opener," which could refer to this Surah being "the opener of the Book" (Fātiḥat al-kitāb), to its being the first Surah recited in full in every prayer cycle (rakʿah), or to the manner in which it serves as an opening for many functions in everyday Islamic life. Some Muslims interpret it as a reference to an implied ability of the Surah to open a person to faith in God.

AL-QURAN KAREEM
Al-Quran is the eternal miracle. It is the last Book of Allah (SWT) sent for the guidance of humanity through the last Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH). Al-Quran was revealed piecemeal throughout a period of about 23 years.
Last Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH) received the first revelation in 610CE, in the Cave of Hira in the Mountain of Light (Jabal-E-Noor), two and a half miles away from the House of Allah in the city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia. The first revelation was the first five verses of Sura (chapter) Al-Alaq.
Al-Quran is divided into thirty equal divisions, which are called Juz in Arabic. There are 114 chapters, of varying length. The longest chapter is Al-Baqarah consisting of 286 verses and the shortest chapter is Kauthar consisting of three verses only. The chapters revealed before the migration of the last Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH) to Madina and during his stay in Makkah are called Makkan, whereas those sent down after the migration are called Madinan.
Al-Quran verses enlighten man's soul, purify his morals, condemn all wrongs, order good deeds and call for the establishment of justice and fraternity through obeying Allah (SWT) as the supreme authority. Al-Quran provides the regulations that create the proper relations between man and creator and between man and man. It leads man to understand his role in this world, encourages him to think and ponder and guides him in the usage of natural resources. In short, Al-Quran provides all the guidance that humanity needs. Without the guidance of Al-Quran, humanity would still be groping in the darkness of ignorance.
MISHARY RASHID AL-AFASY
Mishary bin Rashid Al-Afasy (in Arabic: مشاري بن راشد العفاسي), born in Kuwait on September 5, 1976, is a imam, preacher, qari and nasheed artist.
Mishary Alafasy is recognized for his unique voice and style of recitation of the Qur'an. Many reciters have come to imitate his mode of recitation.
He studied the Qur'an in the College of the Holy Qur'an at the Islamic University of Madinah (Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia). He memorized the whole Qur'an in two years from 1992 to 1994 and then studied specializing in the ten-fold reading of the Holy Qur'an. He has impressed a number of great reciters of the Qur'an with his recitation.
He is the Imam of the Grand Mosque of Kuwait where he leads the Taraweeh prayers every Ramadan. Also, He very often leads the Taraweeh prayers in the UAE and other neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf.

On October 25, 2008, Mishary was awarded the first Arab Creativity Oscar by the Arab Creativity Union in Egypt. The event was sponsored by the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa as a recognition of Mishary Alafasy role in promoting Islamic principles and teachings.
